Donor Spotlight: Evan and Lindsay Schube

Great Hearts Academies October 11, 2022

The Schube Family

The Schubes are a founding family of Cicero Preparatory Academy in Scottsdale, which opened its doors in 2014.  Through their generous charitable support and tireless volunteerism, Evan and Lindsay have been invaluable to the Great Hearts organization. Evan and Lindsay served as co-chairs of the first-ever Teacher Excellence Fund Telethon, a quick pivot from the traditional Great Hearts Gala, which raised over $500,000 for teacher bonuses across Arizona through the Teacher Excellence Fund. Their persistent leadership and enthusiasm played a large role in the overall success of the event.

“We choose to support Great Hearts because the teachers have and continue to nurture an intellectual curiosity and a love of learning in each of our three children.  This love of learning was exemplified during a brunch at a local eatery with several families a few months ago. The Great Hearts scholars at the table started reciting Paul Revere’s Ride with such pride and enthusiasm that the patrons sitting near us were in awe. It brought a smile to our faces, but we were not surprised because Great Hearts teachers provide the foundation for moments like this to happen.”

Evan SchubeEvan is an attorney with the law firm of Tiffany & Bosco, P.A. Evan represents clients in real estate, commercial, and general litigation matters. Evan’s commercial and real estate practice include creditors’ rights litigation, real estate title and ownership disputes, and contract disputes. Prior to attending law school, Evan worked with a local home builder and commercial real estate developer where he managed real estate projects from the entitlements stage through various phases of construction. When he is not attending a school or sports function for one of his children, you might find Evan cycling or trying to sneak in some golf.

Lindsay SchubeLindsay, a native of Canada, is an avid snow skier, water skier, golfer, yogi, and runner. So, it is no surprise that her love of the land has also led her toward a successful career as a real estate attorney with Gammage & Burnham specializing in land use. With a focus on both the legislative and administrative levels, she represents landowners and developers before neighborhood organizations, planning commissions, city councils, and other regulatory bodies to obtain land use entitlements. This includes rezoning approvals, stipulation modifications, variances, use permits, site plan approval, plats, and much more.

Evan and Lindsay have dedicated their time, talent, and treasure to serving our teachers, families, and communities.  It is great-hearted families like the Schubes that make Great Hearts the innovative network of schools it is today.  To make a charitable donation or learn more about how Great Hearts schools are funded, please contact Brenna Norris, Arizona Director of Philanthropy, at BNorris@GreatHeartsAZ.org
