Giving Tuesday – Archway North Phoenix Facebook Twitter Email This Post Archway North Phoenix November 22, 2023 On this Giving Tuesday, we ask you to make a gift from your heart in support of your students education. When you make a gift to Community Investment and redirect your AZ Public School Tax Credit to ANP, it stays right here on our campus directly supporting our teachers, students, and the Great Hearts model of education you have chosen for your child. After School clubs led by our teachers Two Fieldtrips a year per grade level & on campus enrichment programs One of the most impactful ways your financial support makes a difference is in our classrooms. Your financial support affords us to have two qualified and dedicated faculty in every class. Not only does this allow for more one on one special attention, but it also ensures that instruction time is never lost should our lead teachers need to be out of class. Ms. Brennan, 5th grade lead teacher, shared her experience as a lead teacher and how her Teacher’s Assistant has been instrumental in the success of her classroom learning environment. “ My name is Patricia Brennan, and I have had the immense pleasure of serving the ANP community since 2018. I count myself incredibly fortunate to have worked with some of the finest apprentice teachers at Archway North Phoenix. In my first year, I did not have an AT. Having served both with and without an apprentice teacher, I have come to realize and appreciate how much more can be accomplished with the addition of a second teacher in each classroom. The field of education is one of continuous teamwork between teachers, students, and families, and our ATs are an integral part of that team. At times it has felt like I have shared not only a classroom and group of students with my AT, but a mind and heart. The partnership between teachers and apprentice teachers is at the center of each class community. With an AT in the classroom, there is constant opportunity for collaboration and support. I cannot count how many times in the midst of a lesson I have witnessed my apprentice teacher anticipate a student’s needs, offer further differentiation of instruction, or simply contribute additional information to a discussion. As a part of Great Hearts, we often pride ourselves on being lifelong learners. Nowhere is that more apparent than with our apprentice teacher program. I can confidently say I would not be the teacher I am today without the virtuous words and actions of my apprentice teachers both past and present.” ~Ms. Brennan “What sets our Apprentice Teachers apart is their focus on developing not only the intellectual abilities of our scholars but also their virtuous habits. They understand that true academic excellence is achieved when the heart and mind work in harmony.” ~Ms. Kirby *You Can Give More? Sponsor a family that can’t!*
