Giving Tuesday – Archway Scottsdale Facebook Twitter Email This Post Archway Scottsdale November 27, 2023 Today as we celebrate Giving Tuesday, we respectfully ask you to consider making a gift to Community Investment and redirecting your AZ public school tax credit to support the amazing work being done at Archway Scottsdale. The funds from Community Investment help to support highly qualified faculty, which includes two teachers in the classroom and specials courses such as art, music, and foreign language. Your gift stays on our campus to help fund the gap between what it costs to deliver this education and what we receive from public funding. As a way of spotlighting all of the wonderful people and programs at Archway Scottsdale, we are proud to highlight Mr. Eric Hull. In 2011, Mr. Hull joined the inaugural class of Archway Scottsdale. His first memory was not of a classroom filled with eager students, but of assembling furniture and desks, preparing the school for the young minds it would nurture. From there, he started as an assistant teacher in 4th grade, sharing his passion for literature and history with the students. Mr. Hull soon became the lead teacher for 4th grade, where he instilled a love for Shakespeare, encouraging his students to perform in plays. He took his class on enriching field trips, exploring museums in Prescott and enjoying picnics at the Prescott courthouse. In his 5th year, Mr. Hull took on the role of Assistant Headmaster, contributing to discussions about the construction of our campus that we proudly use today. He later became the Dean of Students, ensuring that the values and integrity of Archway Scottsdale are upheld every day. Mr. Hull’s personal connection to Archway Scottsdale stems from his daughter, a part of the inaugural Archway Scottsdale class, she started her educational journey at the academy and is now a senior at Scottsdale Prep. Mr. Hull believes in the power of Great Hearts because it allows his daughter to think for herself, fostering an environment where social media takes a back seat to the depth of literature and philosophical understanding. He joined Archway Scottsdale not just as a teacher, but as a parent, wanting a better life for his child and finding it within these walls. Archway Scottsdale is not just a school to Mr. Hull; it’s a family. It’s a place where faculty relationships are close-knit, where parents are involved, and where every child is given the tools not just to learn but to thrive. We are privileged to offer an outstanding liberal arts education, and it is all made possible by parents like you. Thank you to the families that have already made a gift to Community Investment. Please join us today by making a gift to Community Investment and supporting our teachers that help to provide a Great Hearts education.
