Giving Tuesday – Glendale Prep Facebook Twitter Email This Post Glendale Prep November 28, 2022 Today, we celebrate our incredible Glendale Prep teachers who live out the Great Hearts philosophy of life-long-learning! As our teachers instill a love of learning in our students, they also continue their quest for knowledge by seeking out their own continuous education. GP teachers are passionate about the subjects they teach and their curiosity to know more inspires our students towards a lifelong journey of seeking knowledge. Thank you, GP teachers! “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” – Albert Einstein. Here is a sample of what some of our teachers have recently accomplished: “During the spring of 2018, St. Johns College hosted a weekend seminar event for Great Hearts teachers, providing the opportunity for me engage in the type of postgrad work I was looking for. After attending classes at St. Johns College in Santa Fe during the summers of 2019, 2020 (online), 2021, and 2022, I graduated with a Master’s in Liberal Arts in August 2022!” Robin Roiger “I am currently earning my master’s degree and teacher’s certification in Secondary Education through ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College program. I expect to graduate in Fall 2023!” Jennifer Maratea “I officially graduated from my master’s program this last summer, Templeton’s Master of Arts in Classical Education degree. It was a wonderful program that allowed me to learn from many experienced teachers from all over the country and to discuss vital things that I found useful in my teaching this year.” Megan Mahoney “I received an MA in philosophy in 2015 and I anticipate graduating with a Ph.D. in philosophy in spring 2023.” Andrew Christman “I am wrapping up the final portion of my MA in Classical Liberal Education and Leadership through The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University. In the program, we look to the past, with its rich heritage of texts and tradition of liberal education to think about contemporary issues within the broader context of the abiding human questions.” Kirah Mueller “This summer, I earned the Master’s in Humanities with an Emphasis in Classical Education from University of Dallas. It is my 2nd master’s degree, the first being in Music Education from ASU.” Amy Kratz “For the past decade, our family has been blessed to be part of the Glendale campus, and our children have learned from a multitude of exceptional faculty. GP’s teachers are dedicated, passionate, and eager to share their knowledge with students. We’ve spoken with several faculty who spent the past summer working towards or completing their master’s degrees or participating in continuing education opportunities to ensure growth in and out of the classroom. We’re thankful our faculty can fulfill their personal and professional goals and for their enthusiasm to seek and share with our students Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.” Corey & Kathryn Bodzin- Glendale Parents Give to Glendale Prep
