Giving Tuesday – Veritas Prep Facebook Twitter Email This Post Veritas Prep November 29, 2022 Nearly two decades ago, in the inaugural Veritas Prep newsletter, founding Headmaster Andrew Ellison explained that classical education “rightly gives priority to things of lasting value.” Veritas Prep opened its doors, in a humble rented space on Lincoln Road, and boldly set off with a mission to cultivate the minds and hearts of its students through the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Although the location of Veritas Prep has changed since then, our mission has not. Mr. Dick is another constant at Veritas Prep. He taught art at the Lincoln Road campus when it opened and is the high school art teacher at our Academy today. When asked why he has remained at Veritas Prep for nearly 20 years, he answered, without hesitation, that he “loves the community.” He also said he likes that art is part of the core curriculum and explained he finds value in exposing art to the entire student population, not just those with a special interest or talent. We highlight Mr. Dick today as one of many dedicated members of our community. And in this season of gratitude, we invite you to reflect on the things of lasting value in your lives. Our beloved Academy has thrived for almost 20 years because of parent partnership in Community Investment. Please help us continue our mission by making a gift to Veritas Prep Community Investment today. Give to Veritas Prep
