There’s no better way to get ready for the upcoming school year while squeezing in one last fun summer activity than the Great Hearts Christos Back-to-School Bash. The Redemption Alhambra campus will be transformed into a fun carnival-like event for the community on Saturday, July 29th from 9:00am-1:00pm. This is a free event that will provide lots of fun for the kids and many useful resources for parents.

“I am so excited about the Back-To-School Bash that Great Hearts Christos is organizing in conjunction with Redemption Church Alhambra,” said Great Hearts Christos Executive Director Toyin Atolagbe. “While this is an event with many giveaways and fun things to do that will bring joy to the children of Alhambra, I am more thrilled about the opportunity it affords my team and I to meet the community. I am so looking forward to meeting people, making new friends, giving hugs, and expressing to parents how much we long to serve their children at Great Hearts Christos. Most importantly, my prayer is that every family we meet see our hearts for the beautiful community of Alhambra. I can’t contain my joy for this event.”

Whataburger will be providing free food (including hamburgers, sides, brownies, cookies, and drinks). There will also be games and prizes at the event. Kids will enjoy the bounce houses, carnival games, zoo animals, and face painting. And they will want to bring their swimsuits for the waterslides.

Christos Event Planner Lisa Harok is thrilled to partner with the Alhambra community to help bring this event to life. “Through our hard work and effort to put on this Back-to-School Bash, I am hopeful this will be one of many events planned that will show the community our dedication and long-term support of all children in this community and beyond.”

Among all the music and fun activities for the kids, parents will find this event to be particularly helpful as they prepare for their children’s return to school. Keep It Cut will provide free kids’ haircuts just in time for those first day of school photographs and the Phoenix Fire Department will be on hand to provide free car seat checks. The entire event is designed to be a great opportunity to spend some quality time together as a family.

Great Hearts Christos is accepting K-5 applications for the upcoming school year and anyone who submits an application at the event will be entered to win some really great prizes including:
