The ceremony takes place on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 8:30 – 9:15 AM at the new campus located at 4825 W. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. It is for invited guests only and open to the media. The new Maryvale Prep campus is currently serving grades K-9 and will add an additional grade each year until it provides a complete K-12 academy in 2021. The new campus will unlock the full potential of a tremendous community asset for the youth and families of the community of Maryvale and, over time, will grow to serve 1,300 students. It offers upgraded classrooms, science labs, student library, art studios, music and drama rooms and a full-size gymnasium, in addition to other amenities. “We are truly excited to continue to grow in Maryvale, creating more capacity to serve these deserving students and wonderful community,” said Mac Esau, Maryvale Prep Headmaster. “Our new home provides our students and faculty an amazing education space and they couldn’t be more excited.” The campus is being built in two phases with a total investment of $19.4 million when completed. Through “The Heart of Maryvale” capital campaign, over $7 million has been raised to make this vision a reality. The campaign has also made possible the inclusion of a 500-seat performing arts center to house Maryvale Prep’s robust arts program, and a multi-purpose room that supports critical before and after school programs and tutoring groups at the campus. The open-enrollment period for the new Maryvale Prep campus for the 2018/2019 school year is from November 14th through December 7th, 2018.
