Great Hearts Welcomes New Faculty Facebook Twitter Email This Post Great Hearts Academies July 19, 2022 Great Hearts New Faculty Orientations (also referred to as NFO) began last week for Great Hearts Academies in the Arizona and Texas regions. This is a 3-week training for all new faculty and staff members with the first 3 days focusing on the culture and philosophies of Great Hearts Academies. In Arizona, over 500 new and mid-year hires filled the halls of Great Hearts Veritas Prep. Their nervous anticipation and “first day” jitters were quickly calmed with the welcoming atmosphere that was created by all the event staff and administrators who greeted them. This new faculty consisted of people from many diverse backgrounds. In attendance were educators with many years of experience teaching at other schools, newly graduated young people ready to begin their career, and those who are starting a second career in life. No matter their background, Arizona Superintendent Brandon Crowe explained, “This is an opportunity to give the education that we wish we had.” Chelsey, a Great Hearts Scottsdale Prep Alumni, expressed her gratitude for being able to come back and work for Great Hearts. “I have been looking forward to coming to a faculty orientation at Great Hearts ever since I graduated… It’s been so inspiring getting to hear all the virtues and values that I already know and love, and I know this is exactly the place where I want to be.” Each presenter demonstrated the passion that Great Hearts Academies has for the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. The pursuit is not limited to the students, but it is the pursuit of the faculty as well. Teachers continue their training leading up to the start of school where they will engage in subject specific and grade specific curricular training. If you would like to join us in the fall, we are still hiring at our academies: careers.greatheartsamerica.org
