Info Night Brings Prospective Families onto Campuses

Thousands of families in Arizona and Texas attended the annual Great Hearts Information Night, held at each of our academies, including Great Hearts Online, which offered a virtual session.  It’s the one time a year each of our academies open their doors on the same day, at the same time, to offer tours and presentations outside of normal working hours.  It gives prospective families the opportunity to intimately experience the climate and culture of the campuses for themselves.

“Great Hearts Information Night is a great way to get to know the school and the vision of a Great Hearts education: Truth, Goodness, and Beauty,” said Director of Business Systems Kathy Lund.

“Info Night is for those parents to see why Great Hearts is so unique and special compared to other public, private, and charter schools and how their student will learn in a creative and fun way while living the virtues that are important in everyday life,” said Stephanie Eck, Great Hearts Enrollment Manager.  Eck recommends applying to multiple locations to better the student’s chances of attending a Great Hearts academy since the student might not receive an offer from their first-choice academy.

Lund said the evening provides the opportunity to hear from headmasters, teachers, and coaches about the Great Hearts curriculum, co-curricular activities, and athletics programs. “Administration, teachers, and staff share that a Great Hearts education also provides a safe educational and fun learning environment. They will talk about what will establish your child in a life-long pursuit of what truly matters.  Parents also had an opportunity to fill out an application for enrollment.”

Staff made themselves available at the event to meet with families and answer any additional questions that were not specifically covered during the brief presentations.  The amount of information given out can feel overwhelming, but that didn’t take away from the excitement and anticipation many of the parents felt about the education they were choosing for their child.
