Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey accepted Senior Yana Konstantinov to the Pinnacle Scholars Program as a Mechanical Engineering major. These high-achieving students are offered an annual $5,000 stipend to participate in original, advanced research projects or summer study abroad. An Aristotle Award (all A’s) recipient every year, Konstantinov contributes to our campus community as a Varsity athlete and team Captain, Senator, and student tutor. Mahum Laleka diligently pursued opportunities to volunteer with international clinics, Banner Health, and Hospice, plus observe physicians in clinical settings. She served as a summer research assistant and collaborated on three medical publications for the 2024 International Stroke Conference. At North Phoenix Prep, she has served as a school senator since Sophomore year, placed at the Arizona Science Fair in biochemistry and competed on the girls’ soccer team. While still considering her college options, Laleka has many opportunities to choose from, as she has been accepted to New York Institute of Technology’s BS/DO Program, Saint Louis University BS/MD Medical Scholars Program, Nova Southeastern University’s 4+4 BS/DO Program and Razor’s Edge Research Scholars Program, and the Lake Erie College of Medicine Early Acceptance BS/DO Program.

These acceptances point to the strong academic and character foundation that North Phoenix Prep provides. With exciting futures ahead, all three students are poised to bring the same excellence, thoughtfulness, and initiative to their universities that they have brought to the halls of North Phoenix Prep. Congratulations Yana, Lucy, and Mahum!
