The beginning of the school year is always a time of excitement and new beginnings. “We’ve got a school full of amazing teachers and support staff and they are ready to just make this year the best ever,” said Terri Monteverdi, Headmaster of the upper school at Great Hearts Invictus, a Great Hearts Texas academy located near San Antonio. But this year the anticipation is at an all-time high. The 2024-2025 academic year marks several significant milestones for the school, including the addition of the ninth grade, the start of their high school program.

Great Hearts Invictus welcomed its first group of ninth graders, marking a special moment as the upper school takes shape. This milestone reflects the hard work and dedication of Great Hearts teachers, staff, and families who have helped the academy grow. With the first graduating class just around the corner, the school community is filled with pride and anticipation for the future.

Next year, Great Hearts Invictus will embark on another exciting journey with the start of construction on a new high school wing. This expansion will further provide state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the learning environment for students and will be a significant step forward in the school’s development.

It also allows them to connect with the administrative team and faculty members who play a crucial role in supporting the students throughout their academic journey. The event is a chance to ease the transition for both parents and children, and also a celebration of the strong sense of community that defines a Great Hearts academy.
